Draft Randomizer

Fantasy Football Draft Order Ideas

Six ways to decide who picks first, ranked from most fun-and-fair to most old-school. Pick the one your league will actually enjoy.
  1. Run it as an on-field game (the fun way)
Instead of a boring spin, let a race or a brawl decide it. Draft Randomizer runs one of five game styles and hands you a shareable video. It is random, fair, and the group chat actually watches it.
  2. Reverse order of last season's standings
Worst team picks first. Simple and rewards the teams that struggled, but it is not random and the same managers can end up stuck picking late for years.
  3. Auction / highest bidder
Managers bid (points, dollars to the pot, or push-ups) for the top pick. Fun and strategic, but it favors whoever is willing to pay and takes real time to run.
  4. Roll of the dice or a card draw
Everyone rolls or draws a card; high roll picks first. Easy and random, but ties are common and there is nothing to share afterward.
  5. A draft order wheel / random name picker
Spin a wheel of names. Genuinely random and quick, but it is over in one second and there is no keepsake for the league.
  6. Live event over a group video call
Reveal the order live on Zoom or FaceTime for the reactions. Great energy, but you need everyone online at the same time. Tip: run Draft Randomizer and share your screen for the reveal.
